Flower Scout's design philosophy is inspired by wildness, by the subtlety of the Northeast's ever-shifting seasons, and by the vast variety inherent in the natural world. After a few seasons as a vegetable farmer on the West and East coasts, I ventured into floral design in 2012 by pure accident, out of a desire to grow a value-added crop that required minimal investment. Little did I know that the design itself would become an obsession.
With almost infinite variables of color, texture, shape, and approach, floristry is a life-long course of study. My interest continues to outpace my skill; may it always be so.
